  1. What if I don’t like my child’s school portrait?
  2. I didn’t order enough portraits? Can I get more?

Q.1 When will I be notified about Portrait Day?
A.1 Your school will be provided with a minimum of two Portrait Day notification pieces: the Portrait Day informational flyer and a Next Day Reminder Notice. The information flyer is typically sent home with your child one to three weeks prior to Portrait Day. This flyer includes package and pricing information along with an attached order form envelope. The Next Day Notice is sent home the day before Portrait Day. Your school may also include Portrait Day information in its newsletter or school website.
Q.2 How should my child prepare for Portrait Day?
A.2 A great photograph starts with looking your best. Lifetouch has the information you need to make preparation a breeze with our Grooming Tips & Portrait Day checklist.
Q.3 Is there an adult available to help my child prepare for his or her portrait?
A.3  Portrait Day is a big day at school. Teachers and parent volunteers play an important role escorting classes to the camera and assisting the students with grooming. Additionally, Lifetouch provides complimentary combs for students to help them look their best.
Q.4  How can I volunteer for Portrait Day?
A.4  We always welcome parent volunteers for Portrait Day. Please refer to your school’s newsletter or website, or contact your local Lifetouch office  for more information
Q.5  My child wears glasses. How do we ensure a good portrait?
A.5  Our photographers are trained to adjust lights and respectfully pose your child to minimize glass glare.
Q.6  Can my child’s portrait be taken before gym class, lunch or recess?
A.6  We work with your child’s school to organize Portrait Day in the most efficient and least disruptive way possible. Sometimes that means we have to photograph after lunch or early in the afternoon. We have mirrors, combs and adult helpers on hand to make your child’s portrait the best it can be.
Q.7  How quickly are finished portraits returned?
A.7  Your child’s photographs will be delivered to the school approximately three weeks after Portrait Day.
Q.8  What if I don’t like my child’s fall school portrait?
A.8  At Lifetouch, we offer a Portrait Promise Satisfaction Guarantee. If you are not satisfied, return your fall portraits on Retake Day and we will re-photograph free of charge. If you are not pleased with your retake photographs, we’ll gladly refund your money.
Q.9  What if my child is absent or sick on fall Portrait Day?
A.9  Your child will have a second opportunity to be photographed on Retake Day. Your school will notify students of Retake Day. Or, for more information, contact us . (Please note there isn’t a Retake Day option with spring portraits.)
Q.10  What if I forget to send payment by the fall Portrait Day deadline?
A.10  A late fee will apply. Contact Lifetouch for details.
Q.11  What if I receive the incorrect package?
A.11  If the package you received is incorrect, we’ll gladly remedy the situation. Follow the instructions on the form in your service insert.
Q.12  What forms of payment are accepted?
A.12  Visa, MasterCard, personal cheques, money orders and cash are accepted.
Q.13  I didn’t order enough portraits? Can I get more?
A.13  Absolutely. Simply follow the instructions on the reorder form in your portrait envelope.
Q.14  Can I get a copyright release on my child’s photograph?
A.14  Lifetouch has a copyright policy designed to protect the images it takes - similar to the policies used by moviemakers, video producers and writers. While you do purchase portraits of your child, the original image remains the property of Lifetouch. This original image cannot be photocopied or reproduced without the company’s express written consent.
Q.15  I have already purchased fall school portraits. What is spring Portrait Day?
A.15  The fall portrait is a time-honoured tradition and a necessity for school IDs, yearbooks and other important administrative support products. Lifetouch spring portrait programs  offer the opportunity to have studio style portraits featuring contemporary backgrounds, a 1/3-length pose and fun props. Spring portrait programs typically include special portrait products not available in the fall, such as key chains, bookmarks and gift products.
Q.16  Does my child’s school benefit from a Lifetouch Portrait Day?
A.16  Lifetouch is proud to be your school’s partner in education. Our industry-leading products, programs and services are highly valued by schools. In many cases, a portion of the portrait purchase price may be returned to the school or sponsoring organization as part of its fund-raising activities.
